Combining 7.5 AMP power with comfort and motor-protection features for longer-lasting industrial performance, Makita's 4-1/2" Cut-Off/Angle Grinder delivers 11,000 RPM with soft start for smooth start-ups. The 9557PB Angle Grinder features a range of durability features, including labyrinth construction that seals and protects the motor and bearings from dust and debris for longer tool life, as well as a protective zig-zag varnish engineered to seal the armature from contaminants.
Ease-of-use features include an extra-large paddle switch for comfortable operation and a lock-on/off feature for continuous use. Weighing only 4.5 lbs., the 9557PB has a side handle that can be easily installed on either side of the tool, and a "tool-less" wheel guard adjustment for easy clamping. Additionally, the grinder has an AC/DC switch for use with alternative power sources.

The 9557PBX1 kit includes the Angle Grinder, 5 4-1/2" grinding wheels, a metal tool case, cut-off and grinding wheel guards, and a Makita Diamond Blade with turbo rim engineering for a smoother cut and finish.
The 9557NBX features a conveniently located AC/DC switch on the top of the motor housing and a small circumference barrel grip for easy handling. This powerful 7.5 Amp Makita angle grinder has an exclusive labyrinth construction that seals the motor and bearing from contamination. The grinder includes 4-1/2" grinding wheels, a side handle, and a wheel guard, as well as an extra diamond wheel and a carry case.
